Zawiya Oil Refining Company was established by a decision from the National Oil Corporation and registered under commercial record number (1572). It began production in 1974 when the first unit with a refining capacity of 60,000 barrels per day was opened. In 1977, the second unit was added with the same refining capacity as the first unit.
Company Activities:
Crude oil refining, asphalt production, blending and packaging of mineral oils, in addition to exporting crude oil via the company’s oil port and supplying some petroleum derivatives required by the local market. The company’s production units and associated facilities were designed according to international standards and equipped with the necessary means to protect the environment and ensure occupational safety as required by the nature of its operations.
